Happy Valentines Day

Valentines was fun and simple for us. Wednesday night we took the kids to Bazso's, a local pizza place owned by a family from Ryan's school. They had a "Little Sweethearts Dinner" for the kids. The place was packed and since I decided to go last minute and didn't have a reservation, we got take out. They each got their own heart shaped pizza with their own pizza box. They liked being their own pizza delivery man.
Valentines Day I went to Shawn's class for the first time this year. After being in his class at least twice a month last year and a lot the 2 years before that, 3rd grade has been a big change for us. It is good though, I go and have the kids read to me in Cara's class twice a month now. I guess it is just her turn now. I do love our schools and am so happy to live in CT where people are continuing to fight to make education even better! I guess I should remember that when I see my several tax bills!!
Ryan's preschool had the Mayor come visit their party and read a story with them. I came after they got started and Ryan was being really cute singing a song to him. I was so excited. He doesn't like to participate in big group activities at school, church or anywhere. So, maybe he is feeling comfortable enough to do so more, now!
So that is my long blog of Valentine's Day. Nate took me on a great date at the beginning of the month we counted for the occasion. Then last night he gave me a new pillow that was much needed and a jewlry box. My present to him was a heating pad. "How do you stay so romantic after 10 years?" you ask. Well, for some of us, it just comes naturally!!;) We do love each other and I am so lucky to spend every night with my best friend!! Love ya, Nate!
