Watch out for flying train tracks!

Ryan got a centimeter cut in his head when he got in the way of the train track Shawn was tossing into the toy bin.

We spent the bulk of the day trying to get it to stop bleeding, keeping a bandage on it and debating whether to take him to the hospital.

After calls to doctors and trips to the pharmacy, we got a butterfly bandage to stay on and keep it closed.

Needless to say, he was praying for his "owie" to feel better.

Christmas

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Allen's for Christmas. It was SOOOOO fun! We lost our camera (found in our suitcase when we got home) so we didn't take any photos- but lots of video. When Aunt Amy emails me some pics, I'll post them.
We hung 34 stockings on Grandma's mantel. It was crazy to be all in her house at times, but we all had so much fun. The kids got along well and we got to spend some good time with our family!!
We came home on the 26th to a cold house. Santa's presents mysteriously had arrived!! We opened our presents with our coats on while our house warmed up. Christmas is so fun and we are now enjoying the laid back time off school. Nate is working from home most this week.

our fireplace

We were cold, so we snuggled by the "fire." We have no fireplace, so this is the closest thing.
