He LOVES me!! And we miss him!!!

New Years/ So Long Party

Cara has been planning to have a "So Long" Party since the announcement of our move. We had neighbors over for a New Years Eve Party to comply with her request. We're trying to get in as much time with our best friends as we can!

Nate let me go to the temple while he took the kids to the Airforce Museum so THEY could play.

Houston, Houston....

We did not take a single picture on Christmas Day. We did get some great video, but to put that on the blog is way beyond this housewife!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve with the Walsh Family. These are our neighbors. We have loved spending time with them and were really happy to have our family grow up with such great examples. This was probably one of the only reservations we had about applying to a job in Utah; We'd have to leave our fantastic neighbors! Will we be so lucky ever again?
The Walshes were kind enough to let us join them at their Christmas Eve Catholic Mass. It was lovely and such a different experience for our kids. In Shawn's words, "There is a lot of stand up, sit down, stand up, kneel down, etc." I loved the ornate catheral and the true devotion and worship demonstrated in the stained glass windows, the floors, the ceilings, the pillars, and every inch of the building. I admire the faith of those who come to honor Christ on the day we celebrate his birth. I am grateful for my own faith and the teachings I have been given. I'm thankful to be surrounded by people who worship God and trust in Him to watch over them.
The rest of the evening was fabulous as well.
We ate a yuumy lasagna dinner and spent the evening at the Walsh's house. Then we came home, put on Christmas Eve pjs from Grandma and Grandpa Allen, read the Christmas story from the Bible, then went to bed!!!
