Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!
The Cincinnati Museum Center is the old Union Station building that they have turned in to a number of museums. It is an old HUGE building like Grand Central Station. We are members and decided to spend the day there yesterday. We had a great time. as you can see.

Grandma, close your eyes! Cara is petting a rat snake!
The train exibit was fantastic. They even had the people figures moving(ice skating, buildinga ahouse, flying a RC airplane, etc.)

The real deal!!

After our day was done, we changed into church clothes and went to a Lutheran Candelight Service. It was very lovely. Completely different from what we are used to, but very traditional and a great way to remember Jesus Christ on the eve of his birthday. Our kids were shy, but enjoyed it. Thanks to the Greens for inviting us. They probably were just being nice and saying we could come, but we really did and intruded in this personal family tradition.
On our way home we went through a drive through light display and soaked in the Christmas spirit! We were all ready and by 1 am, were nestled all snug in our beds.

Love it!!! I've been saying for years I'm going to midnight mass on Christmas Eve, but haven't made it yet. Maybe next year. :)
