Musicians

We were listening to Alison Krauss, my favorite! Ryan was playing the "violin" so seriously, I had to snap a shot.

Cara was singing her little heart out whether she knew the words or not.

Cara our little gymnast!

Cara had a Gymanstics show at her last day of class today. She was SOOOO cute. I video taped their little floor routine. Then she did a routine on the balance beam. She's actually really coordinated. I think she's a better gymnast than dancer. The camcorder wigged out in between the beam and the bars. So I tried to just take pictures. The batteries were low, so it had a slow reaction time. Arrrrg! Electronics- can't live without them- their cheaper and cheaper- but the don't last for a long time, either!!

Our Deer

I know you can't see them well, but there were four deer in our yard today. Our neighbors tell us about them, but we don't catch a glimpse of them that often. Probably because we're too noisy. Today Cara and I snuck onto the deck and got a picture of them. We originally saw the two in our neighbors yard, then we saw 2 more in our yard. They eventually were all in our yard, then when a truck drove down the street, they all hid in the woods. I guess they have a little home back there.

Ryan's first ALMOST snow play of the season!

He didn't want to go outside, but insisted on keeping his clothes on for a while.
He has been pretty sick and I was glad he changed his mind about going outside.

Cara's first snow play of the season!

Pretty pathetic that her snow angel had to be on the walkway! It actually turned out really pretty, though!

Garbage Museum

On Thursday we went to the garbage museum with our friend Chloe. It was fun! It started snowing while we were therer so we rushed out to see it. It had stopped by the time we got out.

Martin Luther King Jr

Happy 3 day weekend! We're enjoying having a Monday off. Nate has been doing lots of home projects. The kids are having fun playing(fighting) with each other.
It's been rainy all weekend. We are glad it is not that cold yet. The kids want snow. There were a few flurries on Wed. I went to grab my camera to get a photo for the blog- but then it was over and SUNNY!
I'm not trying to rub it in for those of you with so much snow and close to zero degrees! I'm sure our turn is just being delayed!

King Ryan!

Playing at school

Shawn woke up yesterday with bright red, swollen tonsels. Since he had Strep Throat 5 times last year, we knew what it was right away. So, before it progressed any further we called and took him to the Dr on a Sat to get antibiotics.

That's a long way of saying we didn't go to church today. We kept all the kids home because in another day they could show up with it. It was in the 50's so we went for a walk up to the school. After Ryan's nap and trying to get out the door, by the time we actually did get up to the school the sun had already set.

Shawn's Super Vision

Shawn had a "vision" for a store. He set up the bedroom we're not using right now as a tropical restaraunt like on Madagascar. When mom said he couldn't have real food in there, he changes it. It was a place people could come and relax.(lay on the bed, listen to music, get a massage.) Then if you were hungry, you could go into the next room (the kitchen) and eat.
My kind of store!

Cara pushed her dolls up the hill in the stroller. Then she fell and got hurt, was cold and sad. So, she climbed in and bundled up for the ride home.

Cara and Kelly, one of her American Girl Bitty Twins.

Add insult to injury.

Or is it add injury to injury. That is what Ryan thinks it should say! The last face cuts don't heal before the next one, two, three!!
We are afraid to take him anywhere. Someone might call social workers on us!
Poor guy!

Happy New Year

We came home from church on New Years Eve and Shawn and Cara put their PJs on. They wanted to be "comfy" Then after about an hour all 5 of us were asleep!! We took a 2 hour nap- 3 for some. So, we all welcomed in the new year. Here is our celebration of decorating cookies. And of course, eating them.
We played a game called "Doodle Dice" Grandma and Grandpa Wilkey gave us. Then we watched Cars the Movie and went out on the deck when we heard the Milford fire works.

Cortney, the oldest cousin. Here is the image of Cara in 12 years!!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care!

34 stockings hung on the mantel. That was a good visual simbol of our family and how it has grown. Also we were so glad to be all together! What a great family we have. I'm glad our kids can grow up with fun traditions, memories, cousisns, aunts uncles, grandparents, and GREAT grandparents. I believe that can make a difference in our lives.
