We like to Move it, Move it!

Family Home evening about a month ago went something like this:

Nate: We have some exciting news....We are moving....to Utah!

The kids jumped up in shock and excitement. Then Cara started to cry and fell to the floor. Shawn and Ryan stood and stared at her. She looked up through her tears and smiled, "But I'm so excited!" Then started to cry again. Shawn fell to the couch and just kinda thought for a while.

Cara expressed what all of us were feeling. Shock. Excitement. Sadness. Anxiety.

We hurried off to Utah for Thanksgiving and house hunting. The kids felt jipped out of a vacation as we were all business (except for a great Thanksgiving at Uncle Steve's house) They were constantly counting how many temples they could see at one time, or from each house.

Nate is enjoying his new position (still with GE). We are trying to sell our house at a terrible time. We are looking for a place to live there. We have no idea where we want to live. We have a few places we want to stay clear of, but nothing more than that.

We are so excited to be near our family. A road trip to Cali in a day, Sunday dinners with grandmas, cousins, Aunts and Uncles. Skiing at its finest. Temples at every turn. Hiking and outdoor activities galore!

This is a great blessing at this time in our life.

We will miss

1. Our neighbors!!!!

2. A fantastic piano teacher

3. Great Schools

4. Extra curricular activities for every child in every variety

5. A wonderful diversity and tolerance of all religions and cultures

We're confident this is the right move for our family and are so excited get there and get started.

Wow! That's exciting news. When's the big move going to take place? Good luck finding a place to live...Carey & Sarah are both in Lehi, maybe you should look there. :)
