Have you ever wondered why I sign my emails and letters
Hugs,
Jen?
Well, it started about 15 years ago in this lovely place called Brazil. or Brasil as they would spell it.
I miss the love of the people there. They hug and kiss as a greeting, and a farewell. They kiss on each cheek and if you are single they give a third kiss "para casar". As a wish for marriage.
I love the culture of the Brasileiros! I often think about how my life has changed in the last 13 years since I left. July 31, to be exact.
So, today as I do 2-3 times a year, I went through my journal, pictures and memorabilia of my missionary days. The people I met there were the hands the Lord used to mold me. To change me, to open my eyes to the miracles that happen when we trust Him. They taught me how to really LOVE someone. Sometimes I get into the routine of my life here and forget to really love the people around me.
I never want to forget that. I want to EMBRACE it. So I remind myself of it in my emails with a simple word,
Abracos!
Hugs!
These were the first Sisters I worked with. I was so new to the whole experience. They broke me in. Sisters Silva, Cristini, Santos, Harrington and Allen:)

Isn't it fun to remember special times and people in your life that have been such wonderful influences on you? I'm glad you do this-you are very special too and I love you-hugs, mom
Thanks for the comment, Mom!
I always wonder if anyone is reading. I don't write this for other than to keep in touch with our family. However, sometimes I feel like I send it out to nowhere because nobody comments.
