It is so hard not to run out and buy a proper hat and boots for this little buckaroo. However, a cowboy costume is second only to a bike on Ryan's Christmas list. So... we wait.
This year's list reminds me of Christmas 2 years ago. All Ryan asked for was a Teddy Bear. His preschool teachers loved the simplicity of that request, especially that his reason for wanting one was that his Teddy had a hole in it. When he got a piece of paper out to write his very own list last week, I was conflicted. Was I more proud of him writing on his own or sad as he has never really asked for much at Christmas? I didn't want that stage to end.
But what to my wondering eyes should appear on his list, but a
1. Bike
2. Cowboy costume
He spent the remainder of his pre-bus time trying to think of another item.

Ahhh...Innoncence! I'll take every bit I can get!!!!
