SCORE!!!

So, Summer is here. We are doing great. My favorite part is not waking up and rushing to the door! As I try to get the house ready to have pictures taken and put on the market, I am busying myself with chores and keeping the kids at bay. I found myself allowing popsicles, yogurt, cookies, candy, etc just to get them happy and out of my way. Yesterday Cara had a sugar low melt down.
Today I saw a sign that read:
Don't count the days...Make the days count.
So today is a new day!
One of the kids favorite snacks are Turkey Wrappers, apples slices wrapped in turkey.
So, as we were returning the Rug Doctor, I saw some broccoli and remembered one of my favorite snacks as a kid. We made ham wrapped around steamed broccoli and a slice of cheese. The kids loved it and Cara got her protein!!

Oh I know the feeling. I still haven't quite readjusted to "normal" life yet. My kids are on a constant sugar high with several melt downs throughout the day. They've been a little shocked this week when I've turned off the tv and said "no" once or twice to a cookie request. But enough tears will get me to give in. I just can't handle the noise. And yogurt is on my list of "healthy" food. Is that bad? :)

Sounds like a fun snack! I need to try that.

Love the snack idea!!! So glad to hear that other moms give into whining and crying sometimes and that other kids have meltdowns too.

Jen- isn't summer great?? I have already asked myself more than once when school starts. We are having fun though. I just got back from Girl's Camp- it was a nice break. How is the moving thing going??
